Alison Morton: Weaver

Ruthin Craft Centre publish beautiful books and Alison Morton:Weaver, published in partnership with the Theo Moorman Trust for Weavers, is no exception. Essays by Lesley Jackson, Tim Parry-Williams, Jacy Wall, Judy Dames and Alastair Morton give an insight into Alison's background as well as her life as a  weaver of exquisite household linen and, latterly, delicate stone weavings. A series of photographs taken by Matthew Evans in 2017 document Alison preparing a warp, threading the loom, weaving and finishing a series of linen tea towels. Alison's own thoughts, written in 1996, about flax, linen and finishing cloth as well as beautiful photographs of Alison's woven linen complete the publication.
